Career Degree Bursary
The Career Degree bursary must be spent on additional courses and activities offered to students each year. This package is available at the same amount, £500 for full-time students and £250 for part-time students, during each year of study. Students can choose from a wide range of qualifications, short courses and course-related activities as part of this offer. It cannot be substituted for cash, fee waiver or in-kind support funds.
Students that find themselves in financial hardship during the academic year can apply to the Access to Learning fund, which exists to support the retention of students. Both full-time and part-time students can apply to the fund. The level of an award is at the discretion of the College and subject to funds available.

Supporting your mental health
We know sometimes things can be challenging so if you need help or support at any time, we have a team of friendly, qualified experienced staff available to advise and support you.
We offer a wide range of services to our students, including a confidential counselling service.
We also have a team of Mental Health first aiders to support students in crisis. Their training will help identify people who are struggling and signpost to professional help.
We're also a Recovery College
Lincoln College are working in partnership with NHS Lincolnshire Partnership Foundation Trust to provide a Recovery College which promotes wellbeing to people either recovering from poor mental health, supporting people with mental illness or have an interest in their own wellbeing.
All courses are FREE of charge and easy to register for with no final exams.

Additional learning support
We offer support to learners with a learning difficulty, disability, medical condition or a mental health difficulty, including:
- Hearing and visual impairment
- Mental health problems
- Specific learning difficulties related to Dyslexia
- Autistic Spectrum Disorder/Asperger Syndrome
- Physical disability
- Learning difficulties/emotional and behavioural difficulties
For learners who require any additional learning support, the Assessment Team can be contacted to arrange an appointment with an Assessment and Support Coordinator. This service is confidential.

Develop essential, practical skills and strategies to achieve your goals and drive your educational success.
Learn how to:

All further education providers have a duty to safeguard their students from being drawn into terrorism or extremism. Prevent is about safeguarding students to keep them safe and within the law. The Prevent Duty is not about preventing students from having political and religious views, but about supporting them to use or act on those concerns in non-extremist ways.
The College is committed to the safeguarding of students and we have a rota in place so that there is always someone available to deal with queries. Student Common Room
Our fully staffed Student Common Room (SCR) at Lincoln is a safe and welcoming place for learners to visit between lessons. The SCR is open during term time from 8am each weekday, closing at 5.30pm Monday – Thursday and 5pm on Fridays.
Counselling and Pastoral Support
Support can be provided for any emotional or personal difficulties learners might encounter. Confidential appointments can be arranged with a Counsellor.

If learners need spiritual guidance, the Chaplains can offer support to people of all faiths and denominations.

Personal one-to-one careers guidance is available for all our learners. Our fully qualified and experienced careers guidance practitioners provide impartial advice and guidance.
Our qualified Careers Guidance Advisers support learners in their career planning and help them make well informed decisions about their progression and future plans.

We will help you to draw up an action plan of the steps you need to take to achieve your career and education goals.
